Rosalind Franklin was born in London England . As she grew up, she went to an all girl school and learned chemistry and physics. When she was 15 she decided to be a scientist. Her father didn't want her to be a scientist but a social worker but he relented. In 1938 he enrolled her in the Newham College in Cambridge graduating in 1941. After her college years she went to go work at the British Coal Utilization Research Association, where she made a large amount of studies of carbon and graphite microstructures.
An accomplishment that she made is the discovery of the double helix... DNA but she died after having ovary cancer. Sadley 4 years later her partners Francis Crick and James Watson took all her work and say that they found it so Mr.Crick got a Nobel award for “discovering the double helix!”...
Rosalind didn't get to do anything really important but (she didn't do much else after the double helix discovery) study on the helix in Paris and work at the British Coal Utilization Research Association, which helped a lot with an insight of carbon and graphite microstructures…
