Below are science skills that we used throughout our Missing Scientists project:
- Critical Thinking
2. Analyzing
We used analyzing by examining the information we collected from our research, and putting it into our work.
3. Communication
We used communication by emailing different present day scientists with our interview questions.
4.Curiosity
We used curiosity because we had to take an interest in what scientists we were learning about, and we had to want to learn more.
5. Observation
We used observation because we had to take our information and take the time to figure out why it connected to our original idea of why some scientists are overlooked.
6. Organizational Skills
We used organizational skills because we had to organize our information in order to complete our historical narrative.
7. Researching Skills
We used researching skills because we researched information about our historical scientists and what they gave to science.
8. Teamwork
We used teamwork, because we had to find all of the scientists in our different textbooks, and work together to find their ethnicities, and gender.
9. Creativity
We used creativity because we had to think of interview questions for our present day scientists, that connected to scientists not being credited for their work, or missing from big achievements in science.
10. Persistence
We used persistence by continuing to gather more information when we didn't have enough for our historical narrative.
